National No Bra Day | Breast Cancer Awareness
NATIONAL NO BRA DAY
National No Bra Day is observed annually on October 13. This is a day to leave your bra at home.
National No Bra Day is meant to promote breast cancer awareness and to help raise money for research. Many women who have survived breast cancer are unable to go without a bra as they need it to hold their prosthesis after surgery. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and National No Bra Day should serve as a reminder for all women to be screened for breast cancer.

Go Braless ~ Today is National No Bra Day!
Friday, October 13th, is Boobday too!
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and, as a part of that effort, today has been declared National No Bra Day. Since Boobday is a weekly meme honoring breasts, it seems natural to combine it with a touch of activism today.
If going braless works for you, please do! I went out braless myself today. If going braless isn’t for you, that’s ok too. Since the day is about awareness, there are lots of ways to participate.
No matter your gender identity, whether you have breasts or not, you can help spread the word about Breast Cancer Awareness Month and No Bra Day. If you have a blog, perhaps you could create a post? Maybe you are posting on social media and have a large following? How about using the #NoBraDay or #NationalNoBraDay hashtags?
If you have the financial means, please consider making a contribution to the American Cancer Society, or Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Both organizations sponsor international efforts. Also, consider Race for the Cure, which is now held in 26 countries – another way to participate.
Most of all, if you have breasts, please make an appointment for a mammogram!
